Carter is a graduate of the University of the Pacific and began his real estate career in 1989 with The Grupe Company. He joined MMI Realty Services in 1991 and partnered with Tom Klein to develop MMI’s third-party leasing and management portfolio in California. In 2003 he, along with Tom, founded Crosspoint and since 2020 has managed the Company. Carter resides with his family in Orinda.
Courtney Jones, Principal & Director, Property Management

Courtney is a UCLA graduate and has worked in the real estate industry since 1992. She began her career with Transpacific Development Company, then spent time on the retailer-side at Boston Market before joining MMI Realty Services in 1995. Courtney transitioned to Crosspoint at its formation in 2003 and, in tandem with Kathy DeOchoa, oversees the Company’s property management operations and is a member of the Company’s Executive Committee. Courtney is a resident of San Francisco.
Kathy DeOchoa, Principal & Director, Property Management

Kathy graduated from the University of Washington School of Business and began her career as an auditor and accountant. Before joining Crosspoint in 2008, she worked for Urban Retail Properties and Madison Marquette in various management and leasing roles. Kathy is a member of the Company’s Executive Committee and with Courtney oversees property management operations. She and her family live in San Rafael.

Phil has had a distinguished career in accounting and finance that began at Ernst & Young and continued to include executive-level positions at Sprint, Cisco Systems and Sandisk Corporation. He joined the company in 2017 and oversees Crosspoint’s financial and administrative operations and lives in Pleasanton.
Winnie Chan, Director, Property Accounting
Winnie is a graduate of California State University—East Bay and worked at Citicorp Bankers Leasing prior to joining MMI Realty in 2002 and then Crosspoint in 2003. Winnie became Crosspoint’s Controller in 2008 and was elevated to her current position in 2017 in which she oversees all accounting and reporting for client accounts. Winnie resides with her family in Fremont.
Emily Murtha, Senior Leasing Manager

Emily joined Crosspoint in 2007 after interning with the Company while completing her degree at University of San Francisco. She has held numerous roles over the years and had excelled in all aspects of shopping center development. Presently she oversees all leasing and marketing activities for a portfolio of northern California assets. When she is not chasing tenants, she is chasing her two young sons around the beaches of Half Moon Bay.
Andy Armstrong, Senior Leasing Manager

Joins Crosspoint as a Senior Leasing Manager and will oversee an expanding portfolio of Northern California shopping centers. Andy brings to Crosspoint fifteen years of retail leasing experience focused on institutional landlord representation.
Margot St. Aubin, Senior Accounting Manager
After graduating with an accounting degree from The University of Florida, Margot began her career in public accounting before joining Crosspoint in 2009 where she now serves as Senior Accounting Manager.
Ayse ErSelcuk, Senior Accounting Project Manager
Ayse graduated from Purdue University and spent 14 years with SIMEON Commercial Properties in various accounting capacities before joining Crosspoint in 2011 where she focuses her expertise on portfolio takeovers and complex special projects. Ayse lives in San Francisco.
Thomas N. Klein, Co-Founder, Special Advisor

Tom is a graduate of Stanford University and has worked in the real estate business since 1982. He became a top producer at Grubb & Ellis after which he founded LA West Realty in 1984. He sold the company in 1989, moved to Northern California and joined MMI Realty Services where he and Carter developed MMI’s California portfolio. In 2003, Tom and Carter formed and co-managed Crosspoint until the end of 2020 when Tom retired from active involvement in the company and now serves as advisor and special projects contributor.
